When the Alpha-2 servers shut down, the client was left with nothing to talk to. Project: Arise reimplements the network layer so the retail client can connect, create a character and walk into the world again.
A C++ server that speaks the client's Unreal network protocol. Not a full game server, and it says so.
Every byte is traced to the client's disassembly or to captures of the original server.
No game assets are shared, no Intrepid service is touched. You need your own Alpha-2 install.
$ 1Install your own copy of the Ashes of Creation Alpha-2 client.
$ 2Download it below. It starts the server and the client together.
$ 3Press one button, create a character, enter the world.

Login and registration open together with the server's account system. Until then a character belongs to whoever plays on that server.
